About Me
Hi, my name is Evan Leavitt. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Alabama School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) with an Archival Studies concentration. I anticipate graduating in December 2022. This site serves as a portfolio of my postgraduate work conducted over the course of my studies, and presents personal musings on my philosophy of library & information science (LIS) practice, and demonstrates my understanding of the learning outcomes of the UA SLIS MLIS program.
I currently serve as Manager of Facilities Operations & Planning at the Ina Dillard Russell Library, Georgia College & State University, located in Milledgeville, Georgia. My pursuit of an MLIS has built upon my professional experiences with the theoretical knowledge needed to direct my career more intentionally toward community archiving.
